CROISSTIME HOMEPAGE

This is where I talk about Croisstime, the ship between Croissant Cookie and Timekeeper Cookie from Cookie Run: Ovenbreak!

Look at them, being all gay for eachother.

What is the ship?

Croisstime is the ship between Croissant Cookie and Timekeeper Cookie from Cookie Run: Ovenbreak. The two characters were added in an anniversary update to the game, Operation: Timeguard. Ever since the two characters were added along with their workplace, the Time Balance Department, they've been included in at least three more updates and have been fan-favorites.

Aren't they the same person?

Yes, they are! In the event, Timekeeper Cookie states that her and Croissant Cookie are the same person from different timelines. This is an important distinction, Timekeeper isn't just from the future, she's from a separate timeline from our Croissant. Despite the two looking very different and acting very different, they're still the same cookie at core, Croissant's past was Timekeeper's. Timekeeper states that she got bored from having all of her power, and decided to seek out a timeline with her other self.

You shouldn't be shipping them because they're the same person.

There's really nothing wrong with shipping them. Comparing it to shipping siblings together is only because of the misnomer of the word "Selfcest" which is why I only ever call it mirrorship. Siblings are not the same person. Even if people twins they're still different people. Please for the love of god do not compare this real, serious thing to "what if i kissed my clone?". I like mirrorship, because it's a form of self-love and self-acceptance. What better way to learn to love yourself than to literally love yourself?

How did you start shipping them?

It was actually love at first sight. One of my friends was talking about them in a VC and I mentioned Timekeeper and they said, "Oh, did you know that Timekeeper is Croissant in the future?" I immediately searched up "Timekeeper Cookie X Croissant Cookie" on Google without them knowing, which was funny. While I might have just started shipping them as a joke, I do believe they are genuinely very good for eachother and cute together.

CUTE CROISSTIME MOMENTS

  • This video here is super adorable! It follows Croissant in her daily life and Timekeeper steals her sandwich at the end :D. The cutest part is that she's not even mad that her sandwich was taken! She actually starts smiling when she notices it! I'm not sure if this was just wildly accepted canon or if the video actually has this, but a lot of people think she buys two sandwiches because she knows Timekeeper is going to steal one. And it's so sweet too. Timekeeper still has some Croissant in her after all this time!
  • In Mission: Save the Future, Croissant is working on the Time Manipulators near the beginning of the story. She looks up, sees Timekeeper, and remarks about how nice it is to see Timekeeper since she hasn't in a while. Timekeeper reveals that she was actually watching Croissant for a while and had been watching her work since morning, but Croissant was just too busy to notice! Aww! I like how Timekeeper takes time out of her already infinite time to go watch Croissant work.
  • In Mission: Save the Future, in the bad future, String Gummy states that Director Croissant spent a lot of time looking for time pockets after Timekeeper locked herself away in one. The dedication here is absolutely heartbreaking. I can only imagine how Director Croissant must have felt when Timekeeper left. It was never Timekeeper's fault either, she witnessed herself disappear from a ton of timelines and started feeling futile and useless.
  • In the Cookie of the Year award that Timekeeper Cookie won, she invites Croissant Cookie over to share the victory once she wins. Sure, it could have been just because they're the same person, but I personally like to take it as Timekeeper Cookie really caring for Croissant Cookie.

  • CROISSTIME SHIP QUESTIONS

All of these will be headcanon unless stated otherwise!

    1. Who fell for the other first?

I think it would be funny if it was Timekeeper Cookie!

    2. Who made the first move?

Timekeeper, definitely. She has the confidence to do it. I bet she'd subtly flirt with Croissant all the time and she wouldn't even realize lol.

    3. Anything about their dates!

I bet on their first date, Timekeeper wanted to have some really extravagant date in a bunch of different timelines. But instead, Croissant really wanted to just have a nice date at a restaurant. At first, Timekeeper was a little disappointed, but she eventually grew to really love it. Even as a time god, she can appreciate nice mortal date. And Croissant gets to learn more about her alternate self by asking her questions. Despite Timekeeper usually not being very clear and often not answering questions directly, she decided to actually answer a lot of things during their first date.

    4. What physical trait do they like about eachother?

Croissant likes Timekeeper's face. Everything about it is beautiful to her. She likes staring deep into her eyes, she likes squishing her cheeks, she likes brushing hair out of her face lovingly... She loves everything about it. Sometimes, it feels like staring into a mirror, and Croissant gets a chance to not only appreciate Timekeeper, but also herself. Timekeeper's face is her face, after all.

Timekeeper loves Croissant's hair! It's oh so puffy and warm in her hands, and she can squish it all around and play with her ponytail. Playing with her ponytail is one of her favorite things to do, while she's working Timekeeper will just appear from a time rift behind her and start playing with it. And it's always super warm. Timekeeper will shove her face into Croissant's hair and just nuzzle herself into it.
